2026 Mobility of Players

The First Mobility of Players took place in València (Spain) from October 19th until October 21st. The consortium decided to postpone this event, originally scheduled in July/August 2026, due to the unpredictable situation in terms of flights and transport in general, due to the war in Iran.

Five players and one accompanying person from Latvia, alongside four players and one accompanying person from Italy worked together with about a hundred pupils, two teachers and the three members of the Spanish Steering Committee during the three days.

The Spanish pupils’ age was between 8 and 16 years old (third primary – second year of Vocational Training).

The first day’s schedule had to be modified due to the heavy rain that characterised Valencian weather. The participants worked indoor on their creativity skills in order to create new sports and games to be played together during the mobility. They produced 6m different sports/games.

The second and third day’s activities were carried out as expected. The Latvian, Italian and Spanish players showed the sports they had previously created and selected during the Convergent Phase and tested at their facilities during the Testing Phase.

As foreseen in the project, the First Mobility of Players also represented the chance to test their sports in an international context, thus taking into account cultural differences, social and cultural habits, communication and collaboration levels.

The Spanish players presented and implemented two sports, the Italian ones one sport with two variations and the Latvian one sport with one variation.

All the sports were played by all the participants and the success rate was high, with considerable levels of participation and collaboration.

After each practice, an evaluation session was performed in order to modify or improve the sport rules and/or materials.

The sport sessions took place in the mornings.

During the afternoons, several socio cultural activities took place: On Monday, October 19th, the participants visited the Museum of Arts and Sciences; on Tuesday, October 20th, they were given a tour in the city centre which included the visit to a local Casal Fallero and dinner in a typical Valencian restaurante; on Wednesday, October 21th they played beach volley at the local beach.
